Wonder Twins, Activate! (WOW Magazine - December 2000) by Jason 'Jay Dawg' Scales Klimaszewski Twins are ready to take the form of WWF bombshells. As with most identical twins, it's not easy to tell Diane and Elaine Klimaszewski apart. "There are slight differences," said Elaine, "Diane's voice is higher, and her eyebrows arch. My eyebrows go straight across. She is a little taller than. me." "We're pretty identical," said Diane. "There are going to be certain things people like more about Elaine than Diane, bnt that's OK. Or they will love us as a pair." Diane's prediction of how wrestling fans will perceive the twins will soon be tested as they are signed to World Wrestling Federation contracts. As of September 2000, when this interview conducted, the twins had yet to make their WWF debut. If they have debuted by the time you read this, you may already be trying to tell them apart. If tbey haven't, here's your early warning. "Right now we are on hold with [the WWF]," said Daine. "They are keeping this on the down low. Put we heard they have big plans for us, and we are ready." When prodded for hints on how the WWF will utilize them, neither offered much. It may be because neither really knows. "I wish we could give you a hint," said Elaine. "I know it's going to be slamming. [The WWF] said, 'Be patient. We can't tell you what yau're going to do, but it's going to be huge.' We said OK. It's going to be delicious; it's going to be way hot." Delicious amd way hot, indeed. WWF writers shouldn't be lacking in ideas for how to use twin blonde bombshells. Consider these obvious situations: Tag team matches against other women; mixed tag team matches against each other; various permutations of love triangle storylines; or how about a simpIe match twin against twin? "There's deifinitely a good twin sad an evil twin," said Diane. "Elaine is the good twin, and Diane is the evil twin. That would be a perfect match." But who would win? "You know in the end," said Elaine, "good always wins." Ultimate Training While waiting to make their WWF debut, the twins remain active in Ultimate Professional Wrestling and the training school associated with the WWF feeder federation. They have been training with the California indy for about a year as The Wonder Twins and still participate in shows twice a month. "Elaine and I are futuristic space girls who give off a lot of great energy and sex appeal," said Diane. "We are two super-powers who overwhelm. We do a lot of dancing in the ring and get people off their feet." The two are set to follow other UPW bombshells who have made it to the WWF. In August, Lisa Marie Varon, winner of the 1999 Women of WOW contest, and Frosty Moore, known in UPW as Miss Delicious, appeared on WWF television leading the "save the hos" campaign. UPW ahunna Caryn Mower also appeared as Stephanie Mcblahon's trainer Muffy in the spring of 2000. "Rick Bassman and UPW have a formula, a know-how, to take big guys and characters like us to the next level," said Diane. "They know how to put it all together." Besides the wrestling training, the twins said they are ready for the WWF because they've been performers since birth. ~We're built-in performers," said Diane "We came out of the womb performing and kicking our legs up high." The twins' resumes read like they have been performing since birth. They are featured dancers on UPN's "Your Big Break;" they were dancers and singers on the Scorpions' l999 summer tour; they appeared in films "The Flintstones: Viva Rock Vegas" and "Problem Child 2," to name a couple; they've also appeared on television shows "Beverly Hills 90210" and "General Hospital," to name a couple. And they are aspiring recording artists. "We're like twin Brittney Spears or Madonnas," said Elaine. "We have original songs. A recording contract would be a dream come true." "We do everything," said Diane. "Wrestling is just one more mass media thing we are going to tackle. We are entertainers, and wrestling is the epitome of entertainment. You have drama, comedy, soap opera, rock concert - the list goes on and on. You can't find one form of entertainment that has everything in it like wrestling." The sisters said they are also ready for the physical aspect of being a wrestling performer. "People want to see women duke it out and slam each other down," said Diane. "If the men can do it, the women can too. We're athletic, and we do some gymnastics, so that will help." "I'll take a slam or a bump," added Elaine. Sibling Rivalry While the twins seem to be on the same page as it relates to a wrestling career, they do differ in one key category: Taste in men. "Diane likes the skinnier, rock star-looking dudes," said Elaine. "And I like the meat head-looking guys like The Rock - big and macho." Besides the slight differences in their voices, eyebrows and taste in the opposite sex, the two are nearly inseparable. "We go to a restaurant and order the same exact thing with the same appetizer," said Diane. "We eat together, live together, share a car, work together and we're going to be in the WWF together. We are married to each other." "Maybe we'll propose to each other in the WWF," said Elaine. How's that for a storyline idea? In the end, the twins just want to be liked. "We want all the guys to really dig us and want to be with us," said Diane. "And we want all the girls to be like, 'Yes! I want to be like them,'" "We hope we're not cheeseball bimbos," added Elaine. "Because we're really not cheeseball bimbos."
